Last week, at my company's (Adobe) headquarters in San Jose,our partner asked me a simple question.

"Where are you headed?"

Without even thinking, I replied, "I'm going back home"

Only later, at the San Francisco Airport, did I realize what I had actually said. Home wasn't Mumbai. It wasn't even India. HOME was Seishincho (清新町) in Nishi-Kasai. I have stayed a couple years in Niigata, then in Chiba's Gyotoku, also the BEAUTIFUL Kobe for four years, but finally HOME became Seishincho and for a long 20 years!

Seishincho is where I settled in my career, raised my daughter, celebrated festivals, argued with the tax office, discovered my favourite walking/jogging routes, watched fireworks, made unexpected and some very awesome friends while playing Pokémon Go, discovered our "family doctor" in Japan and slowly stopped feeling like a visitor.
